causing problems makes you famous allthis VIOLENCE makesastatement - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -It was a Sunday afternoon, once again little was going on within the school grounds. It has just gone one in the afternoon and much of the day had passed Dahn by without him really realizing where it had gotten too. The most he had done was make himself a fry up, and waste time in the gym…Which ended quicker than normal. Slightly worn out from the strenuous activity he had done little more than skate through the grounds of the school, watching the numerous students and their petty social groups wander around the area. A small grin lay upon his face as the wheels of his long board rumbled against the ground, the board vibrating lightly under his feet. A feeling he has become accustomed to over the years, along with he has come to enjoy the constant rumbling.
Eventually he came to the lawns, the green carpet holding a number of small groups of people. The odd loner sitting alone, studying perhaps, in the end it did not really matter. Coming to an abrupt stop he places his feet upon the ground and ran a hand though his hair, watching the odd strand of dark hair flicker around. His posture strong for a moment before he steps off of his board and raises his hand, having the palm parallel to the ground, with sudden surge of will the board jumped up in his hand. His fingers curling around the trucks tightly, holding the board by his side as he walked onto the freshly cut grass. The sun was high above, and for once a cloud did not obscure the giant ball of flame, making the air warm and pleasant.
He had worn simple clothing for the day, a pair of lightly colored three-quarter length trousers held up with a simple but effective buckle belt. Upon his torso he wore a simple a plain white vest, revealing his arms and the majority of his shoulders, the sun was out for once so if he did not take advantage now he would be waiting a long, long time for another chance. Along with that the simple one-strap shoulder bag hung lightly at his side, the bag containing a number of subject books and a small lunch.
After a few strides he set the board down upon the grass, the smell of freshly cut grass quickly engulfed him. Not a smell he loved, though it was not one he hated either. With the board set down as his feet he soon sat down upon it, a small yawn escaping his lips as he pulled the bag from over his shoulder and lay it down in front of him. His hand rummaging through the bag, eventually pulling out the chemistry book which he had fallen a fair few chapters behind on. Gritting his teeth he opened the book and begun staring blankly at the page, “bloody great.” He murmured to himself, though loud enough to catch the attention of the people nearby, not that any really spared him a second thought. . - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - WORDCOUNT;; 509 OUTFIT;; Jeans and white vest. *i love you and that's all I really know;; ``IT'S A LOVE STORY BABY JUST SAY YES,, - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Boy did Melissa hate Sunday's. Perhaps it was her bitterness over the fact that Sunday was supposed to be a day for family, which rarely seemed to happen in today's society. Or maybe it was because there was nothing to keep her mind occupied with, as she'd already finished her homework for the weekend. Maybe it was simply because she'd been in a bad mood since arriving at this school for "gifted" teenagers like herself. In any case, she hoped that she'd get over whatever it was soon so that her life could return to it's previous semi-normalcy.
In the hopes of improving her gloomy spirits she decided to take a walk outside. A little exercise could never go amiss with her, and maybe a long sweaty run was exactly what she needed to work through her frustrations. A small part of her wished that one of the catty girls who lived in her dorm would pick a fight, just so she could annihilate them. While there had been comments exchanged however the primadona's hadn't yet given Melissa what she wanted. It was too bad really, for it definitely would have provided enough entertainment to let her make it through the day.
So it was that she donned a well-used pair of gym shorts and a comfy t-shirt, grabbed her iPod and started warming her muscles. It did give her a small amount of satisfaction to be able to walk past the snobbish girls and blatantly stick the ear buds into her ears, cranking her music loud enough that their snide comments couldn't reach her eardrums. She scanned through her tunes before settling on a newly loaded CD she had yet to listen to. It was easy to focus on the words as opposed to where she was going, so before she knew it Mel's feet had taken her almost halfway around the grounds, and she hadn't even broken a sweat yet.
It was just as she was slowing down a bit, considering sitting on that nearby bench that she noticed a boy in her way. He was looking down at something...a book of some sort? Moving across the path to give him as wide a berth as possible, she began to pick up her pace again to put distance between them when she heard him speak out. “Bloody great.” His voice was loud enough to cut through her music, making her take pause. She stopped, pulling her ear buds out and looked at him. "Are you alright?" Though her forehead wrinkled with concern she maintained her distance. After all there was no telling what kind of powers he had, or if he was friend or foe. And Melissa certainly didn't trust men. Not after . . . but she couldn't allow her mind to go there. Not right now.

causing problems makes you famous allthis VIOLENCE makesastatement - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -Dahn remained planted on his board as his eyes scanned the page of the book, chemistry was one of his better subjects overall though that did not mean he didn’t fall behind. He was normally a little busier than the rest of the students, with his own agendas going into play with time. As his eyes worked their way across the imposing text he soon heard the voice of the girl behind him, "are you alright?" The words did not settle into his mind for a good few seconds, he had not registered that the words directed to him. Though when no reply was heard and he got the feeling someone was looking at him he soon turned to face the speaker.
The speaker was female, the voice alone had made that obvious, she was about the same size of Dahn. Perhaps a little taller, though he could not be sure seeing as he was seated on the ground. His eyes looked her up and down for a moment, taking in her main features, it was a habit he did to make sure he remember people he came across, even if only for a brief moment. After realizing he still had not yet replied he quickly begun to pry open his mouth, allowing some words to escape. “Alright, could be better. Just behind on some Chemistry work, and just don’t see the point in doing it. Ever get that? The feeling of it just being useless. Not like I am going to be a Chemist, right?” He muttered with a light laugh as he took grip of the book with one hand and held it up for her to get a better look at the topic title, ligand exchange reactions involving aqua complexes.
After a moment he set it back on the floor, looking down and making sure to remember the page number which he was on. With that done he look back up at the girl, now taking a moment to take in her dress, the loose top, the shorts and the ipod made it obvious she was out for a run, or at the very least about to go off to a sporting activity of some sort. Her breathing was not heavy, which meant if she had been running she had not done it for too long, or she was rather fit. Seeing as he could not spot even a bead of sweat, he would deduce that she had not been out for too long, if she had been running that is.
“Name is Dahn by the way, senior.”
He said with a light tone, and a pleasant smile, though that may all be put aside. It seemed the girl did not know much about him, or at least did not recognize him. Most people knew him for his past, his violent approach to life, and for that reason many people showed dislike and often distrust towards him. Which he did not mind, it made his life that much easier. His eyes shifted around the area as he finished his words, he was simply checking for the odd anomaly, for the group of people that did not fit. The one person that stared too long, he had an odd feeling about the girl in front of him, and that instantly put him on edge.

*i love you and that's all I really know;; ``IT'S A LOVE STORY BABY JUST SAY YES,, - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - As the boy’s eyes were drawn to the book in his hands, so too were Melissa’s. She could see now that it was no novel he was reading for enjoyment, but a schoolbook of some sort, the most likely option being a textbook. As to the subject, she could only hazard a guess at it belonging to the science family, her clues coming from the complex diagrams it appeared to contain. Such things weren’t necessarily over the blonde’s head, though many people seemed to think her hair colour dictated how intelligent she was. And even though Chemistry wasn’t her strongest science she had been doing her own research of sorts recently, given how little she knew about her new ability. “Sometimes you can discover interesting things though, things that come in handy.” Mel was speaking in a thoughtful manner, remembering how one Chemistry class she’d spent learning about hazardous chemicals and poisons had come in handy recently.
Her eyes were drawn back to the boy’s face, finding it surprisingly pleasant despite the fact that he still hadn’t spoken. As his eyes looked her up and down she raised an eyebrow while shifting her weight away uncomfortably. Goosebumps had risen to cover both arms and for a split second she wished that she hadn’t stopped at all. Now that she had however, it seemed rude to take off simply based on an irrational fear and a feeling. Besides, as of right now he was sitting on the ground and not really in a position to harm her. As a result, she was able to also look him up and down, noting his clean and academic looking appearance. She also noted with interest the large board sitting with him. It was longer than a skateboard, but shorter than a surfboard and Mel wondered how one would even go about steering such a device. Just the thought of riding something like it brought a rush of adrenaline to the girls’ veins.
“Melissa. I’m a junior. I just arrived a couple weeks ago.“
Melissa’s focus zeroed in on his face now though she subtly avoided focusing on his eyes. He had an ovular shaped face and hair that made him look as though he had just rolled out of bed, though it appeared to be almost too perfectly messy for that to be the case. His skin –which she noted was only a few shades darker than her own ivory colour- was of a pigment comparable to an iced cappuccino, and just as smooth looking. The expression on his face was suspicious as he looked around, appearing to take in everything and everyone around them. Just watching the boy immediately made Melissa feel safer; because his complete awareness allowed her to relax and know that no one was going to get close to them without him knowing about it.
It would be so easy to just take off and continue her run but for entertainment’s sake Melissa wouldn’t do it. Neither could she continue standing as far away as she was, with most of the path in between them. So it was easy for her to circle around and stand facing him about 5 feet away. “So, what’s there to do for fun around here?“ A quick glance up at the school’s intimidating brick walls and Mel immediately felt stifled again. It was very difficult feeling as though she was trapped when Melissa had been independent for the past month or so. She knew it was for the protection of the students, though she’d yet to learn exactly what they were being protected from. After all, who would be stupid enough to mess with a school full of attitude ridden, hormonally charged teenagers who could throw fireballs, shoot lasers from their eyes and read your mind? Right now the idea seemed laughable at best.

causing problems makes you famous allthis VIOLENCE makesastatement - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - “Sometimes you can discover interesting things though, things that come in handy.”
He nodded lightly at the words, a hint of intelligence behind the words. She was right in what she was saying, Dahn would not deny her that. It was along the same lines of ‘you don’t know what you have, until it is gone.’ At least, a connection between the two formed within his mind, yet his mind did not always work in the most conventional ways. “You make a valid point, this very book may hold a secret I have been looking for.” He said with a faint, and more or less inward, laugh about his minor comment.
As he looked the girl up and down he was not fully aware of her shifting until it was a little too late, though at least now he knew a little more about the girl standing before him. The first assumption was that she was timid, though that may not be the case, seeing as she had in fact started the conversation now going on. Perhaps she was a snob or sorts, and disliked the way Dahn had been looking at her? There were many possibilities, and for the time being he did not know enough to make an accurate call. Yet she seemed to return the look in kind, looking him up and down, attempting to find out something about him. What was she learning, what details was she picking up on him? Would be interesting to learn that knowledge, alas, he was sure he never would.
“Melissa. I’m a junior. I just arrived a couple weeks ago.“ He smiled at the last few words, he couldn’t help it, having a new person appear before him was quite a luxury. His face portrayed the slightest amount of surprise, though nothing more than a moment or so. “The new kid, always fun.” He said with a sarcastic tone, hopefully she would pick that up instead of thinking he was insulting or patronizing her. He himself remember the first day he had entered the school as a freshman, having brought to the school with no knowledge of its existence he had become rather excited. Though what she was feeling could be very different, he himself did not posses empathy of any type, and would have to rely on plain deduction. With that she begun to move forwards, though still keeping a fair distance between the two of them. She seemed rather cautious, even more than cautious, after all the school was meant to be a safe place. So what was making her so uncertain? Once again, he was lead to see her as timid, though the answer was rarely that simple. “So, what’s there to do for fun around here?“ That was a good question to ask, though Dahn was not really the best person to ask. He gave a small shrug at first as he begun to think through the possible things for a teenager like them to do, after a moment or thought he begun to speak. “Depends what you are into I guess, a party can normally be found every weekend. You got the gym and training rooms open, for people that wish to work on their powers.” He said with a light tone, pointing to the relevant building. “you can get to most areas in England by train, so you can head into the cities with a group of people if you want. Check out the bars and clubs…” He seems to stop mid sentence as a look of concern crosses his face, “that is, if you were old enough to get in. Though, fake ID can sort all that out.” He said with a wave of his hand, as if waving away the problem itself. With an air of silence he slowly looked around them once more before speaking yet again, “guess I could answer that question better if I knew what you were into Melissa.” He said lightly as he turned to face her with a rather calm expression. *i love you and that's all I really know;; ``IT'S A LOVE STORY BABY JUST SAY YES,, - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - If someone had told Melissa that the first person she would interact with would be male -let alone a guy her own age- she would have laughed and said they were kidding themselves. Yet here she was, sitting in the grass in proximity to one, and of her own free will no less. Her head tilted slightly to the side as she listened to his voice, taking in it’s tone and considering what it meant. She wasn’t yet sure that he wasn’t making fun of her, so she listened and watched carefully.
Dahn seemed surprised by her reaction to his scrutiny. She knew that most girls would have enjoyed the attention, would have tossed their hair flirtatiously and giggled at his jokes, would have sent beaming smiles in his direction. Melissa wasn’t one of those girls though, and was determined not to be as stupid and naive as them. It was too easy to get hurt, and as far as she was concerned the male gender had brought nothing but bad things. The only exception was her dad, who she trusted more than anyone else. Still, she wasn’t looking for another jerk like she’d seen so many of her friends end up with.
“The new kid, always fun.“
Despite willing herself not to, Mel couldn’t help but smile at Dahn’s sarcasm. Her eyes brightened; this was something he could obviously understand. And it was nice to know that [is]someone
had either been there before, or could at least empathize with the situation. Dahn was putting her at ease, though she didn’t know exactly how he was going about doing it. Perhaps she just hadn’t had contact with a normal boy in so long that she’d forgotten what they were like? After all, it was impossible for them all to be monsters right? The conversation continued smoothly as she inquired about possible activities to keep her busy when there wasn’t classes to attend. The mention of parties wasn’t a very appealing thought to Melissa. Alcohol frightened her because she had heard of mutants consuming too much and then losing control over their abilities. This was a terrifying possibility, Melissa didn’t want to hurt anyone accidentally. Then again though, she’d never actually tested the full extent of her gifts, so she didn’t know if the whole Gerald thing was a complete accident or if it was all her fault. Something told her that it was all her fault. Still, Melissa wished there was some way to check and know for sure. The practice rooms sounded promising, however she wasn’t sure how to go about “practicing” her powers. It would be more useful if there had been real people to practice on, but by doing that she was taking a chance that could end up killing someone. Wouldn’t that be a great way to make friends! Her smile twisted partway, the corner of her mouth curving upwards, amused by her own sarcasm. She tuned out Dahn as he talked about clubs and bars and fake IDs. Really, they were so unnecessary in the grand scheme of things. Had she wanted to get into a bar all that would be needed would be a hair toss, a shorter skirt and some batting of the eyelashes. She wasn’t prepared for him to suddenly full on face her, and ended up lost in his dark brown eyes. For an instant her body relaxed slightly, she focused on his eyes and said nothing. In the next instant she swallowed and blinked as though coming out of a trance. “I would be really interested in using a practice room, maybe you could show me one? I‘ve never fully tested my powers, I want to see how far I can push myself.” Mel shrugged a shoulder, shifting her focus to his shirt; not a totally defensive movement, more or less pure interest. He dressed differently than most of the other students she’d seen on her wanders this week, so she zeroed in on the contrast. Mel wondered if he was as different from the other students as his clothes were from theirs. Maybe they would even get to go play in a practice room, so she could learn more about him.[/blockquote][/blockquote] - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Complete words; 738 notes; First thread EVER!! credits; made by xxmizzbry from caution 2.0lyrics; Love Story - Taylor Swift [/ul][/ul][/ul]

causing problems makes you famous allthis VIOLENCE makesastatement - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - As Dahn commented upon the new kid, though only slightly he caught the slight smile upon the girl’s face. He had not expected her to break a smile at the comment, most people disliked being new, Dahn sure did. Though there are many hidden advantages being the new kid, the most obvious was having a ‘clean slate’ and being able to build up from scratch. The conversation moved along at a reasonable pace, nothing amazing really came to light though his words and her reactions. Only a few minor things from her expressions, and even they could not be too reliable. Perhaps it was because she did not enquire about the parties that caught his attention the most, seeing as most new people quickly looked out for social groups. One of the best ways to meet people were at parties, or clubs, yet she seemed uninterested. Which meant she had already established her own social circle, or disliked large social gatherings enough to boycott a decent social circle.
After a moment or two he turned to face her more directly, attempting to engage a little more with the girl. She seemed lost in her own thought for a while, perhaps churning over the words he had spoken recently to her. Eventually she opened her mouth and allowed a few words to escape her lips, “I would be really interested in using a practice room, maybe you could show me one? I‘ve never fully tested my powers, I want to see how far I can push myself.” He smiled at the words and gave a light nod, it seemed she was rather interested in getting to grips with her powers. Though, most people here were, and most of them had different reasons as to why they wished to do so.
“A practise room should be free, we can go give one a look.”
He said with a light tone of voice as he placed his gear into the bag with little to no care and pushed himself up so he was now standing. Wasting no time in slinging his bag over his shoulder and plucking up his longboard in one hand, turning to face the relevant building. He stood still for a moment as he waited for Melissa, he assumed she would follow without any real questions, seeing as it was her idea to go to the training rooms in the first place.
“I hope you do not mind if I ask, but it would be really helpful for when we are in the rooms. But what are your powers, or power.”
He asked with a calm voice as he moved towards the path and allowed the longboard to fall from his hand and clatter against the ground before it came to rest. As he spoke he placed one foot upon the board and pushed with the free foot, pushing him off at around about the same speed as a person walking. “Perhaps it was rude of me to ask first, I possess Telekinesis. Average power level for my age, not sure if it will be of any use helping you coming to grips with your talents though.” He said with a small smear of sarcasm. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - WORDCOUNT;; 539 OUTFIT;; Jeans and white vest.
